I'm so grateful for Marietta's Film Course about Script, Continuity and Call Sheets. So.. let me back up and tell you the full story. I worked with a personal client this past year and recently got a call to be her personal on an upcoming movie. At this point i'd almost gathered all my hours to be in the union so I was close to applying for membership. I however had not experienced worked on a feature film..yet. I knew Marietta as she is pretty legend in the Makeup community and also had attended a conference where she was a speaker a few years prior. She was one of the first people I reached out to when I got the inquiry. Working on a feature film means you get sent hundreds of documents. They come in every day. Yall.. SO MANY DOCUMENTS. From the call sheet to the DOOD she helps you understand them all, including the acronyms. This course teaches you the 101 of film. At one point I got backed up on my continuity (something you will learn about in the course) and I was able to go to the makeup trailer on my own and create the book myself. In addition after I completed the course I had a follow up call with Marietta to help me understand film deal memos and negotiation. As a working makeup artist for 12 years and 5 years of those in NYC one thing I continue to learn is..."you don't know what you don't know but what you don't know is costing you time, money or both". Marietta will make sure you are up to speed. She shows you real examples from existing features she has worked on and been the department head for. This class isn't about theory it is about real life application. I wrapped the film about 2 weeks ago now and my personal client was impressed. I felt and continue to feel confident about my work on the film. Whether you are preparing for a future in film, want to begin working on films or currently working on film and prepping to be a department head. I say just go for it. This class is designed for someone who wants to understand the now but also build for the future. If you are interested in becoming an asset to the team or the lead department head this course will help you. She truly helped me gain more confidence, show up at 100% and really do a job I am proud of. Thank you Marietta for everything!!! I am sincerely grateful. This course has been a job saver for me. I just recently began working on a TV show after not working on a show for 12 years and I was rusty. This course had all the information I needed to confidently do my job all in one place. I love the ability to pace yourself and the memory jogging quizzes at the end of each section. There are also helpful examples of some of the forms and paperwork you will encounter on the job. Thank You, Marietta, for putting all of your years of knowledge in one place for anyone to easily learn the industry essentials. Looking forward to the next section!!! Cheers, Valerie
