MARIETTA'S VIRTUAL MAKEUP ACADEMY

I thought the class was fantastic – it covered everything from the basics that was helpful to review and understand every role and its unique job function. I recommend this course for every artist that is striving to understand the core value of tv and film, and its history. I'm glad I took the time to invest in this course. It was needed. Loved it!

I first met Marietta in NYC when I was leaving the beauty industry and she introduced me to TV/Film while speaking at a class. I had the privilege of working with her a few years later when I relocated to Atlanta, and I knew that working in TV/Film was the genre of makeup I wanted to be in. This is the SECOND course I have taken with her online academy and it's so much knowledge -- pleasantly and thoughtfully put together to help the next generation of artist. This is a HUGE industry where you work with high level personalities and title holders (directors, producers exc.) The best part about this course was that I now understand each and every role I am focusing on becoming as well as the duties that I can prepare myself for when the time arises. I would recommend this to ANYONE looking to further their careers and establish themselves on a core makeup team.

This course is something I wish I had at the very beginning of my TV/Film career before I ever stepped on a set. It is very thorough and provides valuable information for all Makeup artists working in TV and Film. It is a great course to highlight the duties of your core team when hiring for a show and also how to be a great asset to every team moving forward. Highly recommend this course to any working Makeup Artist and to any makeup artist with a deep interest to work in TV and Film.

If you are a newer artist to Tv/Film, need a refresh, or a seasoned artist that just wants some new tricks in your pocket this one is for YOU. From the beginning this class shows you the ropes on how to be successful within the position you may uphold as a make-up artist on set. It offers information from WORKING artists in each position, and is created by a working artist herself. 10/10- Invest in yourself, invest in your business.

Being great at your job first requires an understanding of your responsibilities and how they relate in your department as well as others. Marietta has put together a comprehensive course that explains it all in a relatable and palatable way! I wish I had taken this course years ago! If looking to make yourself more valuable in your department by understanding what your job is, I highly recommend you take this class!

This course could have saved me so much time from trying to figure everything out on my own. Marietta’s classes spell out, in explicit detail, the behind the scenes and on-set info that can help Makeup Artists be prepared to work and succeed. I love the format of the classes - including videos, voiceovers, easy and fun to read graphics and lists. There's so many layers to the information and it's a very engaging way to learn. I loved it! The spotlight and history of so many artists gives insight into real life working experience. I'm honored to be included.

This course was incredible. It's exactly what has been missing from makeup education. I've never taken such an informative course on what I need to succeed working in TV & Film IN DEEP DETAIL from what's expected of me professionally-- to what I should have in my kit -- how to prepare for any role in our department. Marietta even included many personal examples that was so extremely helpful and visual. This is someone who wants everyone to be as prepared and professional as she is and is passing on the knowledge and I am SO appreciative!! As a Makeup Artist that has been working in the industry for over 20 years and just got into the Union, this class is a MUST SEE! There is no play book for your journey in the Union and this class really helped me to understand ALL the roles and responsibilities as a MUA in the Union. It is like learning a new language and this class really broke down everything you need to know and do.
